Dungeon Settlers Production Planner

Enter what you want to make and what it takes, and the planner totals the raw materials across every product on the list.

How to use Manual Mode

Add a product, set how many you want, then list what one unit costs. Add a second product and the totals column merges ingredients by name, so two recipes that both need timber show up as one line with the combined figure. Names are matched case-insensitively; keep them consistent and the totals stay clean.

It is arithmetic you could do on paper, which is the point: the planner does it again every time you change a quantity, and it remembers the recipes so you only type them once.

Production in the settlement

Production is the middle of the loop. Farms and gathering supply raw resources; workstations turn those into something more useful; and the output either keeps the settlement running or gets packed for an expedition. Confirmed pieces of that chain include forges, anvils and smelters for metalwork, farming for food, and the rations and camping supplies a party carries.

Because those steps chain, a shortage rarely appears where it starts. Running out of a processed good usually means the raw input ran out two steps earlier. Listing your products here makes that visible before you commit workers to the wrong job.

Crafting and expedition preparation

The most common use for a totals list is packing for a run. Decide what the party needs, enter it as products, and the planner tells you what the settlement has to produce before they can leave. Pair it with the expedition planner for the party side and the food calculator to check you are not turning food the settlement needs into rations.

Why recipe data is version-sensitive

Recipes are among the first things an Early Access build changes. Ingredient counts get tuned, intermediate steps get added or removed, and a station that made something in the demo may not make it the same way in the release build. A recipe list copied from an older version does not just go stale — it produces confidently wrong totals.

So this planner ships with no recipe library. Dungeon Settlers enters Early Access on September 4, 2026, and the data model behind this page is already built for verified recipes: each one carries its ingredients, the station that makes it, the game version it came from and the date it was last checked. When recipes can be read from the live build, they appear here as a picker beside Manual Mode, labelled with the version they were confirmed in.
