What the specification tells you

This is a modest minimum by 2026 standards. A Core 2 Duo with 4 GB of RAM and integrated graphics from the Intel HD 4000 era describes hardware that is well over a decade old, and the 2 GB install is small enough that storage is unlikely to be your problem.

Compare every listed requirement with your machine, including the graphics API and operating system. On Mac, the published minimum is macOS 11 Big Sur with a Metal-capable GPU; both Intel and Apple Silicon are listed. Running a different game is not a compatibility test.

Meeting the minimum is not a promise of crash-free play. The developer lists some startup crashes in the official known issues. The cause is not established, and this site has not reproduced them.

Only a minimum has been published. This page does not invent a recommended tier: a colony game’s real demand depends on how large settlements get and how much simulation runs at once. This site has not benchmarked the Early Access build.
