What the specification tells you
This is a modest minimum by 2026 standards. A Core 2 Duo with 4 GB of RAM and integrated graphics from the Intel HD 4000 era describes hardware that is well over a decade old, and the 2 GB install is small enough that storage is unlikely to be your problem.
Practically: if your machine runs current games at all, it clears this bar. The people who should check carefully are Mac users on older systems — macOS 11 Big Sur is the floor, and both Intel and Apple Silicon are supported.
No recommended specification yet
Only a minimum has been published. This page does not invent a recommended tier: a colony game’s real demand depends on how large settlements get and how much simulation runs at once, and neither is measurable until people are playing the Early Access build.
Requirements can change during Early Access
Dungeon Settlers enters Early Access on September 4, 2026 and will keep changing after that. Added content and systems tend to push requirements up rather than down, so treat the table above as the launch-day minimum rather than a permanent guarantee. If you are close to the line, check the store page again after major updates.
Where these figures come from
The official store listing. Nothing here is estimated or extrapolated — you can check the Steam page yourself, and this page will be updated if the published requirements change.
